Yuimaru Kitchen is a fresh, new way to experience Traditional Japanese Cuisine. Using only the freshest and highest quality ingredients, we create teppanyaki, sushi, and familiar Japanese food in our own unique way, then serve it to you in a casual and fun atmosphere. Japanese food lovers of all ages will enjoy dining with us.

About The Owners
Richard Nguru spent years as Head Chef and General Manager of the renowned Kiku Japanese Restaurant in Atlanta Georgia before deciding to team up with his long-time friend and coworker, Hojung Kim to create Yuimaru Kitchen. At Kiku, and previously at AFC Sushi, he mastered the culinary skills necessary to create and present Japanese cuisine to satisfy the most demanding diners. Richard has a strong work ethic and is dedicated to continuing his passion for creating unique culinary fare.
When not creating great food, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and two children.
Ryan Hojung Kim met his partner, Richard, while working at Kiku Japanese Restaurant and was promoted to assistant manager in 2013. Hojung is known for his versatility in restaurant management and has worked his way through the ranks from kitchen to owner. He shares the same work ethic as Richard and is motivated to continue his quest of learning new methods to create a superior dining experience for the community. Hojung currently lives in the Tri-Cities with his wife and when not working enjoys fishing and bowling.
